All 3 of us hold Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding certificates, and have also attended workshops on behaviour management, autism awareness, FGM, Sign Along and different aspects of teaching to early years children. We are keen to continue our development, and therefore regularly participate in training courses and workshops.
It is mandatory for all childminders to work with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework for children from birth to five. We will be ensuring that every child is supported in their development and learning within the four themes – A Unique Child, Positive Relationships, Enabling Environments and Learning and Development. Each early years child will have an online Learning Journey showing their progress and achievements.
Stacey
Stacey has completed the CACHE level 2 Diploma in the Early Years Workforce and is working towards the CACHE level 3 Diploma in the Early Years Workforce. She has been working in childcare for 3 years and has volunteered at a dance school. She loves creating things, exploring and going on adventures, jumping in puddles, dancing in the rain and is obsessed with Christmas!
Marika
Marika has completed the CACHE level 3 Certificate in Childminding Practice, the Open University level 4 Certificate in Early Years Practice, and the Open University BSc Open Degree with Honours. She has 15 years experience of childminding and a further 4 years working in a pre-school and day nursery. She volunteered at a toddler group and sunday school. She loves interacting with the children in their play and making crafts.
Liz
Liz has completed the level 2 First Diploma in Health and Social Care, and is also working towards the CACHE level 3 Diploma in the Early Years Workforce. She has been working within an early year's setting for the past 10 years and has experience with a variety of different ages and abilities as well as working with many children with special educational needs. She volunteered as a Girl Guide leader and helped at a baby group. She loves role play, messy play and crafts.
